In this exclusive interview with TopMob, we were granted an intimate glimpse into the lives of our beloved characters – Arondir and Theo – as portrayed by Ismael Cruz Cordova and Tyroe Muhafidin respectively.
In a special conversation with TopMob, the actors from The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Season 2 shared insights into their work on the highly awaited second season. Included in this discussion were Ismael Cruz Cordova, playing Arondir, and Tyroe Muhafidin, bringing Theo to life.
The performers discussed their developing character journeys, the responses they’ve had from viewers, and the hurdles they faced when depicting this grand tale. This is how Ismael and Tyroe adapted to their roles, and the input they received was instrumental in boosting their self-assurance.
Ismael Cruz Cordova shares reaction to audience feedback for Season 1
During the conversation in the chat, when queried about the audience’s response to the initial season, both actors spoke highly of the affection and encouragement they received from viewers. Additionally, Ismael Cruz Cordova expressed that he prefers maintaining a private bond with his character.
“Ismael Cruz Cordova expressed that he has a deep understanding of himself and others, stating, ‘I am who I am, and they understand me, as I understand them. And let me be clear, I don’t believe I took anything from the situation.'”
In contrast to others’ perceptions, Tyroe found his character, Theo, puzzling. Despite many expressing their affection for the character, he admitted to feeling bewildered by this response. “I find it surprising and almost overwhelming with all the support and people professing their love for Theo,” Tyroe explained.
He went on to say that he doesn’t consider Theo to be a kind-hearted child. He elaborated, “I don’t find him to be especially good-natured,” and further clarified, “He’s not the friendliest character. I wouldn’t choose to be friends with him myself.” Then, gesturing towards Ismael, he added, “You always seem to support Theo, though.”
