Call of Duty players are worried about Black Ops 6 early access

As a seasoned gamer with decades of Call of Duty under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and concern as Black Ops 6 looms ever closer. The multiplayer beta weekends are a tantalizing taste of what’s to come, but the lack of news about the campaign has me worried.

1. The tanks are approaching town, and with Black Ops 6 nearly on the horizon, we’re all geared up for the video game industry to be swept away by Call of Duty once more in 2024. After being in development for four years, Treyarch’s upcoming release is already creating a buzz as the much-needed comeback that the Call of Duty franchise seems to require.

Despite it appearing that the highly anticipated sequel to 2020’s acclaimed Black Ops Cold War is still a ways off, Activision is gearing up towards Black Ops 6 with CoD NEXT and two multiplayer beta weekends. This undoubtedly excites those eager to test out new maps such as the rumored Vorkuta. However, one might wonder about the fate of single-player enthusiasts in this scenario.

Call of Duty fans worried about Campaign early access

It seems to me that we’re unlikely to receive any updates, given our current situation. I have the feeling that we would have heard something by now, especially considering how it was teased in the initial trailer. Additionally, Modern Warfare 3 received poor reviews for its campaign when it first launched, so they might be cautious about receiving negative reviews before the official release date.

Although it’s clear that the primary emphasis in today’s Call of Duty (CoD) is on multiplayer, there remains a dedicated fanbase eager to experience the campaign. Given its brevity and speed at which one can complete it, deciding which mode to tackle first, multiplayer or campaign, becomes a difficult dilemma. After all, consider the world without “No Russian” and “All Ghillied Up” – two iconic campaign missions that significantly contribute to CoD’s allure.

There’s been an uneasy quiet about whether Black Ops 6’s campaign will have early access before its release. Normally, this topic is a hot discussion in the pre-launch phase, and it’s often revealed in one of the game’s initial trailers. With Call of Duty Next approaching, fans are growing worried that they might miss out on trying the campaign ahead of time.

User @ItsPerka inquired whether we believe we’ll receive early access to the campaign or zombie mode. Given that campaign early access would have been announced by now, they suspect we’re opting for the zombie mode. Insider Pizza has previously stated there won’t be an early access period for the beloved zombie mode. As time progresses, it seems increasingly improbable that we’ll get campaign early access.

There’s no way they got that afraid of doing it from MWIII right?

It’s been revealed that those who bought the expensive Vault Edition gain entry to the pre-release Black Ops 6 multiplayer Beta. Moreover, some people have pointed out that the Vault Edition initially had an October 17 release date instead of the standard October 25, hinting at a potential early access program being developed.

Unfortunately, some critics like @TheGhostofHope argue that the poor reception of Modern Warfare 3, often labeled as the worst Call of Duty game ever (mainly due to its campaign), could explain the current situation. Even if Treyarch feels secure about where Adler and Woods’ story is headed, they might be hesitant to take a risk this time around.
