Oh boy, oh boy! As someone who has survived countless zombie apocalypses in various video games (and maybe a few real-life ones too, you never know), I can say with certainty that Treyarch’s latest offering in Black Ops 6 is a game-changer.
Hooray! Zombies are making a comeback, my friend. Black Ops 6 is starting strong with two map scenarios available right from the get-go, yet it won’t be too long before additional zombie infections flare up and dominate our screens.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about Black Ops 6! In this thrilling game, Terminus Island and Liberty Falls are the initial maps that set the stage for an unforgettable gaming experience. Among them, Terminus Island stands out as the largest map to date. This expansive island is shrouded in stormy Vietnamese seas, offering a unique opportunity to catch some waves around the imposing prison. On the other hand, Liberty Falls transports you back to the ’90s with its smaller yet open American village setting. Both maps promise an exhilarating start to the game!
Treyarch has announced that another map will soon be available, making it ready for holiday celebrations around the Christmas tree.
A third Zombies map is already on the way in Black Ops 6
It’s surprising to think that alongside traditional holiday treats like gingerbread, hot chocolate, and a Home Alone movie marathon, we’d also get carnivorous, undead spiders… but that’s exactly what Treyarch developers have confirmed: a third map is indeed on its way in the Zombies mode this year!
During the Call of Duty Next event, Kevin Drew (the Associate Director of Design) shared that we should expect a new map to be released by the end of this calendar year.
“That will clearly demonstrate just how committed we are to the round-based Zombies approach.”
Steve Bianchi, Lead Game Designer for Black Ops 6, shared his enthusiasm, “We’re all pretty thrilled about the maps we’ll be releasing. Each one contributes to our story and complements it perfectly. We can’t wait!“
As a gamer, I’ve explored Liberty Falls and Terminus extensively, but the specifics about our next destination, the third map, are still vague. So far, it’s been all action, but the big question is: where do we go from here?
As a diehard fan, I’m speculating that since Treyarch seems to be brewing another Zombies map for Black Ops 6, we might just have five or six captivating round-based zones left to explore when all is said and done!
It’ll be us feasting this year, not the starving dead corpses.
