Shawn Levy Shares Stranger Things BTS Image as Filming On Season 5 Continues

As a seasoned cinephile with a penchant for both blockbuster action and heartfelt dramas, I find myself eagerly anticipating Shawn Levy’s return to Hawkins for the final chapter of Stranger Things. Having witnessed the director’s exceptional work on Deadpool & Wolverine and All the Light We Cannot See, I am confident that his touch will elevate the already captivating narrative of this beloved series.

As a fan of both the big screen and small, I’m thrilled to be back in the heart of Hawkins! After being part of the Stranger Things family since its debut in 2016, it feels like I’ve come full circle as I step onto the set for the fifth and final season. From directing episodes three and four in previous seasons, I now have a front-row seat to this extraordinary production.

Levy additionally posted a set of photos through X, and while many were identical to those on his Instagram, there was an exclusive photo of Wolfhard together with Levy that was also part of the collection.

The long-awaited fifth and concluding season of “Stranger Things” is projected to premiere on Netflix in 2025. However, eager fans of the series must remain patient as the exact release date has yet to be revealed. With Season 4 wrapping up in July 2022, there will be a time leap for the show, given that it initially debuted in 2016.

In the last episode of “Stranger Things” on Netflix, we can expect the return of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, and Jamie Campbell Bower. Newcomers Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton have been added to the cast for the final season of “Stranger Things.”

High Expectations for Stranger Things Season 5

The highly-acclaimed Netflix series “Stranger Things” has garnered significant praise from critics and a dedicated fanbase, which means the anticipation for its conclusion is quite substantial. Showrunner Shawn Levy, along with creators Matt and Ross Duffer, have hinted that the final season of “Stranger Things” might surpass all previous ones in quality. Last year, Levy mentioned that it could potentially be their best work yet.

“To fully immerse oneself in Season 4, it’s impossible not to broaden the scope and richness. This isn’t just television; it’s grand, epic storytelling on a cinematic scale. In essence, ‘Stranger Things 5’ is as expansive as some of the biggest blockbuster movies out there.”

This year, Matt Duffer hinted that the forthcoming series will be similar to the first season but with an amplified intensity. He went on to say…

“This event is the largest we’ve seen so far in size, but it’s been a blast because all the kids from Hawkins, including Eleven, are reunited. Their interactions resemble those from the first season.”

The first season of “Stranger Things” has won over both critics and audiences alike, so if the upcoming fifth season can match or even exceed this level of quality, it promises to be a highly rewarding finale following a three-year gap.

As a passionate cinephile, I’ve had the privilege of directing some unforgettable films, most notably “Deadpool & Wolverine” – a box office smash that raked in an impressive $1.25 billion worldwide! But my recent venture into the realm of streaming saw me helming Netflix’s “All the Light We Cannot See,” a historical drama that earned me a nomination for Outstanding Directing – Miniseries or TV Film at the prestigious Directors Guild of America Awards. Up next, I’ll be diving into the realms of science fiction with “Starman,” where an extraterrestrial adopts the form of a widow’s deceased spouse, and reteaming with Ryan Reynolds for the musical comedy-drama, “Boy Band.”
