Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan rehearsed a lot, recalls Deepak Tijori; admits arguing with both: ‘Muje takleef hoti thi’

As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in Bollywood insights, I find myself captivated by the tales of camaraderie and professionalism that unfold between the industry’s stalwarts. One such story revolves around Deepak Tijori, a veteran actor who has shared screen space with two giants – Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Deepak Tijori, an actor himself, warmly reflects on his past collaborations with A-listers Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. He emphasizes their exceptional commitment to their artistic endeavors, which is evident in their thorough rehearsals prior to each scene. Interestingly, Tijori mentioned that he would often clash with them over this habit, admitting that it later caused him difficulty, saying “Afterwards, I would face trouble.”

His partnerships on notable films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Baadshah, and Ghulam have left indelible marks on his professional journey.

During an interview on Radio Nasha, the actor was posed a question about choosing between the actors from Jawan and PK, both of whom made a special appearance in Deepak’s film Pehla Nasha. This was a unique instance where these two legendary actors shared screen space in any movie. Tijori responded, “I view both equally as we often had disagreements over the same topic – that they rehearsed extensively! Afterwards, I found myself in a predicament. I am more spontaneous and used to tell them I would read the lines; you all can do your rehearsals!”

Back in a past conversation with The Indian Express, Tijori discussed his long-standing bond with Shah Rukh Khan and offered intriguing perspectives on their professional connection. Tijori disclosed that it wasn’t until Tijori agreed to the role that SRK made a commitment to Baazigar.

During their close bond, they frequently spent time together, both socially and privately. Tijori recalled dropping by Khan’s house on several occasions, only to stumble upon a VHS tape of A Kiss Before Dying. Since Tijori was already in talks with the film’s directors, finding the movie at Khan’s place came as a surprise. Shah Rukh mentioned offhand that the directors had offered him the lead role and were holding back on making a decision until they heard from Tijori first.
