Initially, I had some doubts if Jensen Ackles would return as Russell in the next season due to his involvement in a new spinoff of The Boys. The long-awaited premiere, following the Season 1 finale back in the spring, is set to air on CBS on Sunday, October 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
