As a gamer with a deep appreciation for music and film, hearing about the passing of Will Jennings feels like losing a fellow artist in the creative realm. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him personally, his melodies have been the soundtrack to countless moments in my gaming life, from epic battles to emotional storylines.
80-year-old Oscar-winning collaborator Jennings, renowned for penning popular tunes such as “My Heart Will Go On” and “Tears of Heaven,” passed away.
On a Friday morning, Jennings passed away peacefully at his residence in Tyler, Texas, according to his caretaker, Martha Sherrod, who shared this information with The Hollywood Reporter. She mentioned that he had been experiencing deteriorating health for the past five to six years.
Survivors include his wife, Carole, and his sisters, Joyce and Gloria.
More to come.
