Oprah Winfrey and Win With Black Women Will Unite Zooms for Kamala Harris Groups at Live Event

As a seasoned gamer who has lived through various political eras and witnessed the rise and fall of many political leaders, I must say that this partnership between Oprah Winfrey and Win with Black Women is a game-changer. The energy and unity these groups have shown for Kamala Harris’ campaign are reminiscent of the camaraderie we share in our online gaming communities, where diverse individuals come together to support a common goal.

On Monday, it was announced that Win with Black Women, an organization dedicated to electing female leaders of color, is teaming up with Oprah Winfrey for a live-streamed event. This collaboration aims to bring together various grassroots political groups that previously organized Zoom meetings in support of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

Grassroots organizations such as White Dudes for Harris, Win with Black Men, Comics for Kamala, Republicans for Harris, Latino Men for Kamala, and numerous others swiftly appeared following Vice President Harris’ ascension to the Democratic ticket in the 2024 presidential race after replacing President Joe Biden. These groups, characterized by their identity-focused names, have been organizing extensive, star-studded virtual gatherings, collectively amassing millions of dollars for her election campaign.

As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but feel the intensity of the moment as we all unite under the banner of ‘Unite for America’. This collective effort showcases the shared urgency we feel right now, and most importantly, it highlights the transformative power of our combined actions to propel our nation into a brighter future with Vice President Kamala Harris leading the way as our 47th President.

So far, more than $20 million has been collected throughout various Zoom meetings, as reported by organizers, for the Harris campaign.

On September 19th, I’m thrilled to be part of an inspiring initiative led by Oprah Winfrey and Win With Black Women‘s leadership. This event will function as a rallying cry for us all, encouraging active participation within our communities across crucial voting states, with the primary goal of voter registration and election support.

The concept for this gathering emerged following a conversation between Winfrey and Eaddy, where they brainstormed ways to foster unity within the voter base and encourage voting nationwide, as stated in the event announcement.

I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated event is scheduled for September 19, kicking off at 8 p.m. You won’t have to miss a moment as it will be streamed live on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitch, and various other online platforms. Following Monday’s announcement of the event involving Oprah Winfrey and WWBW, various groups supporting Kamala Harris issued statements expressing their expectations about the potential benefits for Harris’ campaign and increased voter participation in the upcoming general election.

Shannon Watts, organizer of White Women: Answer the Call and Show Up for Kamala Harris, emphasized the significance of participating in advancements that positively impact all women. Shannon believes Oprah Winfrey is the ideal candidate to oversee this event, as she has the ability to unite a multitude of various groups, each passionately committed to improving every community in our country and supporting Kamala Harris’s election.

Regina Montoya, co-lead of Latinas for Harris, stated that it’s evident when many groups unite, as we recognize that harming one is a wrong against all. The upcoming weeks are pivotal for these groups’ futures, which is why we’re excited to rally together and demonstrate our unity. We stand ready to Unite for America, showcasing the strength and potential of these communities.

As a supporter from White Dudes for Harris, I’m thrilled beyond words to join forces in Unite for America! We’re built on the strong foundation laid by Win with Black Women and Win With Black Men. Our mission is simple: offer our support within the Democratic Party, helping to elect Kamala Harris as our nation’s 47th President.

In collaboration with the Harris Walz campaign, and representing the recognized AANHPI affinity group, South Asians for Harris, we understand the influence of South Asian voters as a significant voting segment in numerous crucial states,” Harini Krishnan explained. “We’re taking every measure possible to mobilize this community – from door-knocking to repeated phone banking, counteracting misinformation through digital media initiatives, and establishing a voter protection team – all aimed at ensuring that South Asian voters could tip the scales in favor of Kamala Harris this election cycle, making her the first Black and South Asian woman President.

Blaire Postman from Cat Ladies for Kamala stated, “JD Vance and the Project 2025 plan might limit us to our roles as mothers or the pressure to be one, but our worth transcends that scope. We’re honored to join hands with everyone in this quest to build a future where women are recognized based on their achievements rather than outdated stereotypes.

Pastor Mike McBride from Win With the Black Church stated that the Unite For America rally signifies a revival of happiness, anticipation, and positivity. This is so because we aren’t congregating merely to honor an individual; rather, we are uniting in spirit, rallying around common ideals such as justice, equality, and the improvement of our neighborhoods.
