The Wild Robot's Final Trailer Hails "The Greatest DreamWorks Movie Ever"

As a lifelong DreamWorks enthusiast who has witnessed countless animated masterpieces unfold on the silver screen, I can confidently say that the anticipation for “The Wild Robot” is reaching fever pitch. Having grown up with timeless classics like “How To Train Your Dragon” and “Puss In Boots,” I’ve come to expect nothing short of cinematic brilliance from this studio.

DreamWorks Animation’s “The Wild Robot” is yet to hit theaters, but it’s already generating a lot of excitement due to its early festival screenings. Both critics and viewers are highly praising this upcoming animated film, and with the release of its final trailer, Universal Pictures is hinting that “The Wild Robot” could potentially be “the best DreamWorks movie ever.

The trailer kicks off by highlighting its ties to renowned DreamWorks productions such as the Dragon series and this year’s Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, before moving on to excerpts from early reviews praising it as not just a top-tier animated film, but a cinematic masterpiece without equal. Quite an impressive endorsement, and judging by the footage, it seems this hype is well-deserved.

What is The Wild Robot all about?

Based on Peter Brown’s series of children’s books and directed by Chris Sanders (known for “How To Train Your Dragon” and “The Croods”), the story in “The Wild Robot” revolves around a robot named Roz (voiced by Lupita Nyong’o) who finds herself shipwrecked on an animal-inhabited island. As she learns to survive in her new environment, Roz forms relationships with the island’s creatures. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a small, newly hatched gosling (Kit Connor), whom she names Brightbill. Despite warnings from other forest creatures that Brightbill is unlikely to thrive in the wild, Roz remains determined to help him and develops a parental bond with her new charge. This connection deepens her ties to her adopted forest home, even when robots from her original world attempt to retrieve her.

In the movie, Lupita Nyong’o plays the main character, but she isn’t the only notable voice actor in the film. Alongside her, you’ll find Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Mark Hamill, Stephanie Hsu, Ving Rhames, and Matt Berry as part of the impressive voice cast.
