Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor attend Ganpati Visarjan; perform last aarti before bidding adieu to Bappa: WATCH

As an ardent fan of the illustrious Kapoor clan, I found myself utterly captivated by the heartwarming scenes of Ranbir Kapoor and his beloved mother Neetu Kapoor, bidding adieu to Lord Ganesha during the traditional Visarjan ceremony. The sight of the dapper Ranbir carrying the idol of Bappa, while Neetu held a silver kalash, transported me back in time, reminding me of their iconic roles on the silver screen and their enduring bond off it.

A few days back, Ranbir Kapoor and his mom Neetu Kapoor welcomed home Lord Ganesha for Ganesh Chaturthi. Since then, they’ve been looking after him with utmost care. Today, they bid a tearful goodbye to the elephant God. Earlier today, they headed towards the immersion spot in Mumbai where they performed the final prayer before sending Lord Ganesha back into the water (Ganpati Visarjan).

In the video, both Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor were spotted making their way towards the immersion site. Ranbir carried the idol of Ganpati Bappa, while his mom held a silver kalash containing coconuts. The actor, who is known for his role in “The Animal,” looked stylish in a beige kurta adorned with pink flowers and matching white silk pajamas.

In another video, Alia Bhatt’s mother-in-law is captured performing the final prayer ritual (aarti) of God in the company of her staff members and those present. She was subsequently joined by her son, who then took over and offered the aarti to an elderly woman, who appeared to be familiar with them.

On this special event, the star from Jugjugg Jeeyo chose a soft pink kurta-pajama set with a coordinating dupatta. She accessorized with a multi-layered gold and magenta necklace, earrings, several bracelets, and bangles. To finish off, she added a small bindi, lined eyes with kohl, and wore nude lipstick. He also smashed the coconut as a ritual before bidding farewell with a wave to the deity.

Earlier still, Shilpa Shetty Kundra participated in an enjoyable Ganesh Visarjan event by dancing to dhol beats together with her husband Raj Kundra and kids Viaan and Samisha. Lastly, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant joined their first Visarjan ceremony as a married couple following their wedding.

On the professional side, Ranbir Kapoor is set to appear in a production of Ramayana, while Neetu Kapoor has a role in Letters to Mr. Khanna lined up.
