‘Gyeongseong Creature’ Returns to Netflix for Season 2

As a fan who has been captivated by the mesmerizing blend of history, mystery, and suspense that is Gyeongseong Creature, I can hardly contain my excitement for its second season! Having lived through the tumultuous times portrayed in the first season, I find myself drawn to the series’ ability to transport viewers into another era, only to bring them back to a familiar yet transformed present-day Seoul.

At the beginning of this year, it was revealed by Netflix that there will be a second season of the show titled “Gyeongseong Creature“. The most recent promotional video indicates that the series will make its comeback in the autumn, as per their plans for the streaming services.

Instead of being based in Gyeongseong, which was the old name for Seoul, during a turbulent period, season two is set in modern-day Seoul, specifically in the year 2024. Han So Hee reprises her role as Yoon Chae-ok, a detective who’s grappling with her identity after the events of the previous season. In present-day Seoul, Yoon comes across Ho-jae, portrayed by Park Seo-joon, a man who bears a striking resemblance to Jang Tae-sang. This individual had his path cross with hers back in the spring of 1945.

As stated by Chung Dong-yoon, the director of the series, “Season 2 tells a captivating tale unlike any other,” emphasizing that the shift in location and time setting will create a distinct impression, giving off an expanded sense of cosmic scope.
