The Pokemon Go Plus + is very new, and as such, there are probably a lot of things that you want to know about it! As someone Pokemon Go obsessed that very much has been using Pokemon Go Plus +, and previously had used other auto catchers, I am here to tell you everything you need to know about Pokemon Go Plus +.

As a seasoned Pokémon Trainer with years of experience under my belt, let me tell you about my personal take on the Pokémon Go Plus +.

1 How to pair the Pokemon Go Plus + to my Pokemon Go account:

Step 1: Log into Pokemon Go and hit the Poke Ball symbol in the bottom, centre of the screen.
Step 2: Select Settings in the upper, right-hand corner of the menu.
Step 3: Select Connected Devices and Services.
Step 4: Select Accessory Devices.
Step 5: Tap the middle white button on your Pokemon Go Plus + device.
Step 6: You should see the Pokemon Go Plus + appear under Available Devices. Tap it and select Okay.
Step 7: Press the middle button and top button on your Pokemon Go Plus + at the same time.

The Pokemon Go Plus is essentially a compact, keychain-style device designed for automatically capturing Pokemon in the Pokemon Go game. It also doubles as a sleep tracker for Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon Go. This gadget includes a charging cable, a strap, and a clip for easy carrying.

2 How to pair the Pokemon Go Plus + to my Pokemon Sleep account

Step 1: Open up Pokemon Sleep.
Step 2: Tap the word Menu in the middle, bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Tap Settings and More.
Step 4: Tap Pair a Device, under the Pokemon Go Plus + Category.
Step 5: Press the white button on the front of your Pokemon Go Plus + device and hold it.
Step 6: Press the white button again, along with the top button, at the same time.

From now on, your Pokémon Go Plus device will synchronize, allowing for effortless pairing by simply pressing the button located at the lower right corner of your screen with the Pokémon Go Plus device.

3 Do I need a Pokemon Go Plus + to track my sleep in Pokemon Sleep

To put it simply, no, you cannot track your sleep directly within the game. However, if you have not paired a Pokémon Go Plus device, there’s a Sleep button located at the bottom right corner of the game interface. Tapping this button initiates sleep tracking on your phone. Ensure your phone is plugged in and placed next to you during sleep. The phone will monitor movement and sound to assess the quality of your sleep. To stop sleep tracking, just tap the Sleep button again on your phone.

The Pokemon Go Plus device can monitor your sleep without needing to keep your phone on your bed. It offers additional perks such as a unique Pikachu wearing a hat that gathers items for you in Pokemon Sleep, a soothing Pikachu lullaby each evening, and some advantages in Pokemon Go, too.

4 Do you need to play Pokemon Sleep to track your sleep in Pokemon Go?

To summarize, it’s not necessary. You can utilize a Pokemon Go Plus+ device daily to track your sleep, specifically for Pokemon Go tasks, without needing to download or play the Pokemon Sleep game itself.

5 Can I use my Pokemon Go Plus + on more than one Pokemon Go account, to get the research?

When linking your Pokemon Go Plus device to your personal Pokemon Go account, you’ll gain access to exclusive research tasks tailored for that gadget. It’s possible to pair the Pokemon Go Plus with multiple accounts, but it requires some maneuvering. To do this, first, you’ll need to disconnect the device from your initial Pokemon Go account. Subsequently, use a pin to press the small button on the backside of your Pokemon Go Plus device, initiating a factory reset process. Once the device is reset, you can then connect it with a new Pokemon Go account.

It is worth noting, that doing this a lot has seemed to cause issues with the device disconnecting from Pokemon Go accounts far more often, requiring you to keep reconnecting it. You will also need to track your sleeping using the Pokemon Go Plus + to pass the first page of the research, so it is worth completing the research on one account before setting the device up on another account, as it can only transfer sleep data once to one account per night.

6 What are the tasks in the special Pokemon Go Plus + Research?

When connecting the Pokemon Go Plus device to your Pokemon Go account, you will find a list of tasks on two pages within the Catching Some Z’s special research. The first page includes these tasks:

Catch 20 Pokemon in Poke Balls using the Pokemon Go Plus +
Catch 1- Pokemon in Great Balls or Ultra Balls using the Pokemon Go Plus +
Spin 15 PokeStops using Pokemon Go Plus +
Track Sleep using Pokemon Go Plus+ for 7 days

Page 2 has the following tasks:

Track Sleep using Pokemon Go Plus + for 7 days
Track Sleep using Pokemon Go Plus + for 14 days
Track Sleep using Pokemon Go Plus + for 21 days
Track Sleep using Pokemon Go Plus + for 28 days

7 What are the benifits from using the Pokemon Go Plus + for Pokemon Go?

With a Pokemon Go Plus+, there are numerous benefits specifically for Pokemon Go. This device acts as an automatic catcher, allowing it to spin stops on your behalf and capture Pokemon without requiring any interaction from you or the game. It can even gather Max Particles from Dynamax Stops. If you frequently drive or work in a busy area, this means you can still engage with the game while being occupied elsewhere.

As a gamer, when I initially hook up my device to my Pokémon Go account for the first time, I’ll score a unique research task offering five chances to engage with a rare Snorlax sporting a Night Cap, an exclusive item only accessible through this quest. If fortune favors me, I might even stumble upon its shiny version!

By connecting your device to your game after monitoring your nightly sleep, you’ll earn various in-game rewards. Among these are friendship hearts with your gaming partner under the Bonus section, stardust, and exclusive stickers for usage. Enjoy!

8 How do I change the auto catch in the Pokemon Go Plus +?

The Pokemon Go Plus + has a few options when it comes to auto-catch in Pokemon Go. To see the settings, follow these steps.

Step 1: Pair the Pokemon Go Plus + to your Pokemon Go account.
Step 2: Hit the Pokeball menu button in the bottom middle of the main screen.
Step 3: Tap Settings in the upper, right-hand side of the screen.
Step 4: Tap Connected Devices and Services.
Step 5: Tap Accessory Devices

In the Preferences section, you’ll find various options displayed. One of these is the Poke Ball Auto-throw feature, which exclusively uses Red Pokeballs. This implies that instead of having to press the central button on your device every time a Pokemon appears nearby, it will automatically throw the Pokeball. Moreover, there will be no vibration notification when a Pokemon is near. Additionally, you’ll find the auto-spin option here, which lets the device spin Pokestops without requiring you to tap it manually.

Here you can also change the PokeBall that the device uses.

9 How do I change the PokeBall on the Pokemon Go Plus +?

The Pokemon Go Plus + allows you to choose different Pokeballs to throw.

To see the settings, follow these steps.

Step 1: Pair the Pokemon Go Plus + to your Pokemon Go account.
Step 2: Hit the Pokeball menu button in the bottom middle of the main screen.
Step 3: Tap Settings in the upper, right-hand side of the screen.
Step 4: Tap Connected Devices and Services.
Step 5: Tap Accessory Devices

In the Preferences section, you’ll find a variety of options displayed. Among them, you can choose the type of ball by simply tapping on the bubble next to your preferred ball. It’s important to note that the Button Throw option will no longer be active when you exhaust the chosen types of Pokeballs. Lastly, please remember that this applies only to the tap-to-catch functionality of the device.

10 Is the Pokemon Go Plus + worth the price?

Regarding whether the Pokemon Go Plus is a good investment, there are several factors to take into account. In my experience, it performs significantly better than other auto-catchers I’ve used with Pokemon Go. The device is quite convenient to charge, thanks to its USB-C port. Although you still need to tap to change PokeBalls, the ability to do so is appreciated. However, some adults might find the device’s vibration and lighting effects, such as the disco display when catching a Pokemon or spinning a stop, a bit excessive. If you’re considering it for a child, though, they usually find it incredibly exciting and cool.

In terms of monitoring sleep, it’s unlikely for me to rely on my smartphone because I don’t place it on my bed during sleep and I prefer not to let my child use their phone in their bedroom while they should be sleeping. Consequently, the Pokemon Go Plus + device turns out to be quite handy. Moreover, the research associated with it is intriguing as well!
