CAA and Casey Wasserman’s Foundation Team on School Day Drive to Support Teachers, Students

As a lifelong resident of Los Angeles and a passionate advocate for education, I am thrilled to see the efforts of CAA and the Wasserman Foundation coming together for School Day 2024. Growing up, I saw firsthand the impact that dedicated educators and supportive communities can have on students’ lives.

Teachers, students, and classrooms within the Los Angeles region can expect support from leading figures in the entertainment industry in the near future.

Collaboratively, the CAA and Casey Wasserman’s Wasserman Foundation are joining forces for School Day 2024. This initiative, kicking off on September 14, is a county-wide rallying cry to invite partners to volunteer at, mentor in, or financially support a Los Angeles school. Several high-profile Hollywood companies have already pledged their participation and outlined their specific involvement, such as Fox, Amazon, Paramount, Disney, NBC Universal, and Bad Robot, among others.

CAA’s co-chairman Richard Lovett stated that helping students and educators has been a significant concern for CAA, and it’s an issue he feels strongly about. In fact, he used to volunteer at Venice High School, offering weekly classes aimed at empowering future leaders. He believes that the time and resources spent on campus are valuable investments, and they form part of our mission to build a brighter, fairer tomorrow for all.

According to Wasserman, who holds positions as president and CEO of Wasserman Foundation, chairman and CEO of Wasserman, and chairman of LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games: “I firmly believe that every individual deserves a quality education, not just the privileged few. For our community, city, and nation to thrive, we need to offer robust educational opportunities to all students regardless of their location. To ensure fairness, the Wasserman Foundation has been diligently working for the past 14 years, renovating schools and supplying necessary resources.
