Their hearts were filled with joy at an intimate baby shower celebration in August, adorned in a distinctly beige theme. What truly caught my attention was when our beloved Masaba shared that her best friends, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, were astounded by her unusual preference for a ‘biscuit and caramel’ themed baby shower! In a recent chat with the Bombay Times, fashion designer Masaba Gupta disclosed some details about her unique, beige-themed baby shower. She reminisced that her closest friends Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor were taken aback by her creative idea for this special event.
She told Sonam and Rhea about wanting a ‘biscuit and caramel’ themed baby shower, to which they responded with surprise, saying something like, “Never before has a baby shower been in those colors; it should be pink or blue.” However, the designer was adamant that these colors were her current preference. In the end, her friends embraced her choice and decorated the event with her favorite things and people present.
It’s important to note that Sonam and Rhea arranged an intimate baby shower for Masaba, which took place at Anil Kapoor’s home. Masaba, who is expecting, was delighted about the low-key celebration. She shared that not a single person attending the event was someone she didn’t have a personal relationship with.
We really enjoyed ourselves, snapped numerous pictures, and it was delightful to commemorate with folks who’ve shared my path. My dear childhood companions, Sonam and Rhea, graciously hosted the event, making it all the more memorable.
At Masaba’s baby shower, there were appearances by Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Anu Ranjan, and Neena Gupta, along with several other guests.
Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra revealed their happy news of expecting a child in April this year. They shared an endearing post featuring themselves, looking radiant and dressed in white gowns, to break the wonderful news. In her caption, she jokingly hinted that ‘two tiny feet’ would be joining them soon, requesting love, blessings, and some plain banana chips flavored with salt.
Masaba hails from the lineage of esteemed actress Neena Gupta and ex-cricketer Vivian Richards, a renowned figure in the West Indies team.
