Barbie, Masters Of The Universe And More Are Part Of Mattel Adventure Park's Big Plans, And They Are Getting My Hyped For The New Theme Park

As a parent who has spent countless hours playing with Hot Wheels and Barbie toys, the upcoming Mattel Adventure Park is like a dream come true! I remember building elaborate Hot Wheels tracks and dressing up my Barbies for endless adventures, and now my daughter and I can experience these beloved characters in an entirely new way.

Fresh theme parks are significant projects, so they’re not common sights. Interestingly, there are several new ones being built in the U.S. at the moment. While I’m just as excited about Epic Universe as everyone else, it’s the Mattel Adventure Park that has been capturing my interest recently.

Two Mattel Adventure Parks are under construction at present, one in Arizona nearing completion, while another is just starting out near Kansas City, with a planned opening in 2026. I recently conversed with the Creative Director of the park, Cindy Emerick, who shared her enthusiasm for the new venture by discussing an array of characters and features that will be incorporated within it. She detailed…

This park will stand out due to its blend of popular brands like Hot Wheels and Barbie. We’re planning an impressive Beach House for Barbie, complete with a flying theater where you can engage in various activities with the iconic doll. For the tech enthusiasts, we’ll be integrating innovative technologies such as projection mapping, holograms, and more. Simultaneously, you’ll find games like Uno, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em, and Masters of the Universe. I believe there will be plenty of unexpected delights around every corner for all visitors.

It’s common knowledge that Mattel Adventure Park will feature a duo of Hot Wheels roller coasters modeled after classic toy sets that both children of yesterday and today enjoy. However, there are numerous other thrilling attractions planned, drawn from renowned intellectual properties such as Barbie and Masters of the Universe.

The Barbie Beachfront Villa is set to feature an airborne theater ride, reminiscent of Soarin’ Over the World at Disney or Emmett’s Flying Expedition at Legoland. Moreover, it will offer a unique Barbie Dream Wardrobe Experience, where Barbie comes alive through holograms. Given the renewed fascination for Barbie following the Margot Robbie movie, there’s bound to be plenty of interest. I can’t wait to unwind at the rooftop bar and eatery situated at the summit of the Beachfront Villa.

In addition to He-Man vs. Skeletor Laser Tag, reminiscent of Castle Grayskull, the upcoming attraction offers a glimpse into the franchise for those awaiting a live-action He-Man movie. For our younger guests, there’ll be Thomas the Tank Engine-themed attractions, as well as mini golf and a drop tower. With Mattel nearing its 80th year, this park promises to bring together generations of fans who have cherished the toys and games that will feature in the amusement area.

As someone who used to play with Hot Wheels and now has a daughter fond of Barbie, this seems like an excellent park for a family visit. The Mattel Adventure Park hasn’t announced its opening date yet, but based on hints, we can expect news soon. Personally, I can’t wait to explore it!
