As a die-hard fan of Bollywood, I can’t help but reminisce about the hilarious banter between Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor that has left us fans in splits for years! From their flop to hit journey to their successful collaborations, this dynamic duo never fails to entertain us.
Salman Khan is highly respected in the world of Bollywood, not only by his devoted fans but also by his fellow actors. He’s admired for his straightforwardness and wit. In a previous chat, the actor known as Sikandar playfully jabbed at Kareena Kapoor, reminding her about their two box-office flops together and their successful collaborations with Ajay Devgn.
Previously, on Bigg Boss 4 in 2010, Kareena Kapoor was joined by her fellow actors from Golmaal 3, which included Ajay Devgn, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, and director Rohit Shetty. In a casual exchange with the show’s host Salman Khan, he inquired if Bebo had collaborated with Ajay Devgn before. To this, the actress brought up their past projects like Golmaal Returns and Omkara.
In response to the actress from The Buckingham Murders, Salman playfully teased her saying, “If you can manage two hits, then why did you give me two flops?” This joke had everyone laughing, including Bebo and other stars. Furthermore, Bebo expressed her desire for a successful collaboration in future movies, perhaps referring to the character Bodyguard.
For those unfamiliar, before their roles in “Bodyguard”, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor previously acted together in films such as “Kyon Ki…” (2005) and “Mr. and Mrs. Khanna” (2009). Unfortunately, these movies did not fare well financially at the box office.
Significantly, Golmaal 3 came out on November 4, 2010, followed by Bodyguard’s release a year later on August 31, 2011. Starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, this film was warmly accepted at the box office and remains among the beloved movies of movie enthusiasts to this day.
Following their collaboration in “Bodyguard,” they continued to work together on the 2015 film, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” directed by Kabir Khan. Much like its predecessor, this movie garnered immense affection from audiences and remains one of the most beloved Bollywood films.
In terms of his professional endeavors, Salman Khan is set to appear in AR Murugadoss’ intense action movie titled “Sikandar.” This project, supported by Sajid Nadiadwala, also features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Sathyaraj in prominent roles. Sharman Joshi has been confirmed as part of the cast for this much-anticipated production. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Eid 2025.
At present, Kareena is relishing the unveiling of the mystery-thriller The Buckingham Murders, helmed by Hansal Mehta. Upcoming, she will appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, scheduled for a Diwali 2024 release.
