Tyler, the Creator To Make His Feature Film Debut Alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow

As a longtime fan who’s witnessed Tyler, the Creator’s meteoric rise from underground rap sensation to multimedia powerhouse, I can’t help but feel a sense of exhilaration at his latest venture. The man has always been a visionary, and his foray into filmmaking with “Marty Supreme” is no exception.

In 2018, when Tyler, the Creator rapped “Tell Timothée Chalamet to come find me” on his track “OKRA”, it could be seen as a premonition of today’s news. Fast forward six years, and this talented artist has secured his first leading role in a movie, titled “Marty Supreme”, which is due for release from A24 productions. This film, directed by Josh Safdie, also stars Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow, as reported by Deadline.

The film production team has chosen to keep the majority of its details secret for now, but it’s believed that the story will revolve around professional ping pong player Marty Reisman, renowned for his distinctive fashion style and multiple international championship titles. Since A24 posted a table tennis ball image with the caption “coming soon” on social media when the movie was first announced earlier this year, the information mentioned earlier has a high likelihood of being accurate.

The screenplay for “Marty Supreme” was written by the duo, Safdie and Ronald Bronstein. Alongside them in production are Eli Bush, Anthony Katagas, Timothée Chalamet, and A24.

Tyler lacked experience as a film actor prior to this, but he had already co-created Adult Swim’s shows like “The Jellies! ” and “Loiter Squad “, the latter of which he starred in alongside other members of Odd Future. Additionally, he created the Viceland docuseries “Nuts + Bolts“.
