Snaky Cat is a multiplayer cat royale out now in early access for Google Play

  • Snaky Cat is a new, multiplayer battle royale take on the classic snake formula
  • Send your noodly felines around the map while avoiding running into others
  • Be the last cat standing (slithering?)

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating virtual worlds and mastering an eclectic array of games, I can’t help but be intrigued by the latest offering in the realm of mobile gaming – Snaky Cat. This multiplayer battle royale twist on the classic snake formula is not just a simple revamp; it’s a testament to the enduring charm and appeal of the original game.

In the realm of cats, they’re known for sprawling out when comfortable, hogging space that can be quite a hassle to navigate around. Now, you can feel that annoyance firsthand as you engage in combat in Snaky Cat! This action-packed game is currently available in early access and features a battle royale-style competition where cats, rather than players, compete against each other in a twist on the classic Snake game.

For those unaware, Snake is a game in which you control a serpent on a grid-like map. As you successfully navigate through the environment, your snake grows longer without colliding into its own body. Now, the challenging and addictive gameplay has been amped up with the introduction of multiple players – welcome to Snaky Cat!

There are some differences of course. For one, you only get longer when eating coloured dots which you gather from defeated enemies. But otherwise, it’s as difficult, and fun, as you might expect. From today, players in Canada, Argentina, Australia, Malaysia, the UK, Saudi Arabia and South Africa can jump into early access on Google Play! But hurry, because space is limited.

Noodly

I think that Snaky Cat is quite an interesting concept. Admittedly Snake is one of those games mostly suited for quiet time-wasting, but adding that more competitive element (although I’m sure it’s been done before) is an interesting twist! Here’s hoping it’ll live up to the promise when it releases fully.
