As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Sony’s PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection has truly stirred my nostalgic heart. Growing up with the original PlayStation, the grey color evokes a sense of familiarity and joy that I can hardly express in words. The limited edition bundle is a testament to how far we’ve come, yet it keeps us rooted to our gaming past.
Following the revelation of the PlayStation 5 Pro, Sony has recently introduced a special edition assortment to mark three decades of PlayStation gaming.
As a gamer, I can’t wait to get my hands on the “PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection” dropping on November 21st! This special edition PlayStation 5 Pro is dressed in a sleek grey, paying homage to the original PlayStation from 1994. The exclusive “30th Anniversary” bundle comes with a digital PS5 Pro console and coordinating limited edition accessories such as a DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, a DualSense Charging Station, all in the retro grey.
Avoid dozing off, as there are merely 12,300 limited edition PS5 Pro bundles available! What’s more exciting is that each one will be uniquely identified by having a number engraved directly onto the console itself.
Sony is introducing a special edition, non-Pro PlayStation 5 package for its anniversary. This set includes most of the items found in the PS5 Pro bundle, except it comes with just one DualSense controller instead of two (specifically, you receive a standard DualSense and not a DualSense Edge). In addition to this package, Sony will be offering a PlayStation Portal Remote Player in the anniversary colors – it’s quite stylish, we must say.
Even though Sony hasn’t disclosed the prices yet, they have shared details on how fans can start pre-ordering next week. Here’s what you can pre-order starting September 26:
