EXCLUSIVE: Bhumi Pednekar to reunite with Bhakshak director Pulkit and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment for a new film

As a lifestyle expert with years of immersion in the vibrant world of Indian cinema, I find myself thoroughly enthralled by the latest development in the illustrious career of Bhumi Pednekar. The news that she will be reuniting with her Bhakshak team – director Pulkit and producers Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment – for an upcoming project is nothing short of exhilarating!

This year, Bhumi Pednekar led the emotionally powerful adaptation of the Muzaffarpur Shelter Case in Bhakshak. The Netflix film was helmed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. Now, we’ve learned from TopMob that this well-received group is planning to collaborate once more on a new project.

According to a trusted informant, TopMob learned that Pulkit will resume his director role, with Bhumi Pednekar set to star as the main character once more. Red Chillies Entertainment, led by Shah Rukh Khan, has given approval for the project and plans to be involved as a production partner. However, the remaining cast members have not been decided yet. At this stage, the project is just getting started, so an official announcement from the producers may still be some time away.

For Bhumi, this moment is undeniably a fulfillment of a long-held dream since she voiced her wish to collaborate with Red Chillies Entertainment and Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent question-and-answer session, a fan inquired about the actress’s future acting partners. Eagerly, Bhumi openly expressed her desire in a touching video posted on her Instagram story.

Pednekar was overheard saying, “Listen, I’m really an actor… An actor isn’t necessarily a superstar; my childhood dream has always been SRK. I’ve gotten quite close because he produced ‘Bhakshak’, and it’s amazing that both ‘Dunki’ and ‘Bhakshak’ are popular on Netflix, which is incredibly cool. A big shout-out to Red Chillies. But my dream remains Shah Rukh sir. He’s simply the best.

It appears that fate has favored Bhumi, as she prepares to collaborate with Red Chillies Entertainment once more. For those not familiar, the cast of Bhakshak included Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, Sai Tamhankar, Surya Sharma, Durgesh Kumar, and Chittaranjan Tripathy, among others. The music for this production was created by Anurag Sakia, with lyrics penned by Raj Shekhar and Anuj Garg.

In terms of her career, Bhumi is ready to step into the world of series for the first time with Netflix’s The Royals, a contemporary Indian royalty romantic comedy. This grand production will also serve as the Netflix debut for esteemed actress Zeenat Aman, and it is being directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana.
