As a long-time fan of streetwear and a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM), I am beyond excited for this upcoming Nike collaboration! With my roots firmly planted in the 80s and 90s gaming culture, the pixelated graphics on these hockey-inspired pieces are right up my alley.

A fresh collaboration between Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market is imminent, and this time they’re drawing inspiration from hockey equipment. The athletic design has been a popular trend among streetwear brands lately, merging soccer, football, and basketball jerseys. As winter approaches and so does the hockey season, it seems perfect that CPFM jumps on board with the hockey trend right now!

Nike and designer Cynthia Lu have partnered on various apparel collections in the past. Her unique and vibrant style is evident in items such as her Dunk shoes inspired by the Grinch, and now pixelated hockey jerseys. Her designs are consistently popular. Two years since their last clothing release, Nike and CPFM have reunited for a six-piece capsule collection that emphasizes a hockey jersey, goalie jersey, long-sleeve polo set, track pants, and hockey shorts. Each piece showcases bursts of color, reflecting the playful graphics of CPFM and the co-branding of both labels.

The pixelated graphics emulate the animated aesthetic found in early video games. Throughout the pieces, the Nike Swoosh and CPFM motifs take center stage arriving in a vibrant mix of colors. CPFM took to its Instagram with to write yesterday that the collaboration will be dropping tomorrow (September 24) at 12 p.m. EST.
