Dancing With The Stars Season 33 Eliminated First Two Pairs After Oscars Night, And I Loved One Star's Reaction

As a seasoned gamer of reality television, I must say that Dancing With The Stars never fails to surprise me with its twists and turns. This season has been no exception! After a week of anticipation, the series took us by storm with its double elimination, sending home two contestants and their professional partners.

❗️Heads up! This information reveals spoilers for Week 2 of Dancing With The Stars Season 33‘s double elimination. Watch the episode using your Disney+ membership, but beware – read at your peril!

From the get-go, I sensed that Season 33 of “Dancing With The Stars” would be full of excitement, and it seems like the home audience isn’t holding back on the thrill either. Just a week in, the show was forced to eliminate two contestants along with their dance partners – an early twist we weren’t quite anticipating. One celebrity’s reaction to their elimination had me chuckling heartily.

To start off, let me clarify that my top three choices for Season 33 are leading the pack and deservedly so, as they are at the pinnacle of the leaderboard. Conversely, I believe it’s only fair to acknowledge one contestant managed to survive this elimination due to popularity, while two others who outscored actor Reginald VelJohnson were eliminated instead. As a lover of “Family Matters”, I’m pleased he remained in the competition, although it seemed a bit unfair to those who were sent home.

Tori Spelling And Anna Delvey Were Eliminated

Tori Spelling, Pasha Pashkov, Anna Delvey, and Ezra Sosa were the first contestants to leave ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 33. I wasn’t too shocked when Spelling was sent home, as her performances in Week 1 earned only 17 points, with minimal improvement since then. Despite her desire to stay, it seemed like the effort necessary to enhance her performance hadn’t been invested backstage. If she had incorporated some moves like Stephen Nedoroscik’s leg swings, perhaps she might have had a better chance.

Seeing Anna Delvey sent home was a bit shocking. Truth be told, I felt the judges were a little too harsh on her opening performances, which had points knocked off for rigidity and nerves. At the same time, only Carrie Ann Inaba acknowledged in Week 1 that there was a weird energy the audience had about Delvey and how that might’ve factored into the nerves. That said, the votes would suggest it wasn’t just the live audience that made Delvey feel unwelcome. It’s been a rough few weeks for her, but now the ride is over.

Anna Delvey’s Response After Being Eliminated Cracked Me Up

Instead of focusing on the controversy surrounding Anna Delvey’s elimination from “Dancing With The Stars,” let me express my genuine fondness for the show. Frankly, it seemed peculiar to me that Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough might not have anticipated a contestant being sent home after merely responding to reading mean comments online, rather than someone who earned a 15 in Week 2 with their dance. Thus, when Hough asked Delvey about her takeaways from the competition, I couldn’t help but chuckle at her unexpected response.

Nothing.

Anna Delvey was promptly attempting to brush off the situation and insisted she enjoyed herself, yet it’s questionable if that was truly the case. After acquiring permission from ICE to participate, she faced a significant wave of criticism not only from the general public but also from the hosts of The View. Despite enduring all this adversity, she was swiftly ousted by viewers as soon as they were given the chance. Given these circumstances, it’s easy to see why she might feel a bit resentful.

It’s unclear if there’s a takeaway for Dancing With The Stars from this situation, other than my belief that viewers can only accept stunt casting to a certain extent. Although Inventing Anna was a successful series and entertaining to watch with a Netflix subscription, it doesn’t necessarily mean the general public will welcome the real-life subject warmly when she enters the reality TV world. At least the show has ended, but her premature exit doesn’t suggest that people will view Delvey as anything more than the “scammer persona” she became famous for in the near future.

During the broadcast, it was noted that “Dancing With The Stars” won’t air on Tuesday, October 1st. However, prepare for a double dose as it will resume on Monday, October 8th and continue the following day, October 9th.
