A sneak peek at the New Balance 1906M has emerged, sparking much discussion that the “M” in “1906M” could represent military. This theory appears to be strengthened by the “Fantom Fit” labeled uppers, a design initially created for the United States military.

The design of the Fantom Fit upper was initially introduced with the 950v2a, a shoe from 2014 that was jointly developed with the US Department of Defense for military use.
