As a hardcore fan of “Young Sheldon” and the original “Big Bang Theory”, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming reunion on “George and Mandy’s First Marriage.” However, the prospect of Iain Armitage not making an appearance is like offering me a slice of pie without the cherries – it just doesn’t feel right!

It seems that previews suggested a comeback, but it appears that the first major “Young Sheldon” reunion will occur in the episode titled “George and Mandy’s First Marriage,” earlier than many anticipated. Regrettably, one significant character seems to be absent from the celebrations, and their possible non-appearance may disappoint fans eager for their return.
From a video Annie Potts shared on Instagram, it’s clear that the actor known for portraying Meemaw is filming the first Thanksgiving episode of the spin-off on set. In the same video, Zoe Perry (Mary Cooper) and Raegan Revord (Missy Cooper) are also present. Furthermore, Montana Jordan (Georgie Cooper), Craig T. Nelson (Dale Ballard), Emily Osment (Mandy McAllister), Rachel Bay Jones (Audrey McAllister), and Will Sasso (Jim McAllister) are also visible in the video. Additionally, two new characters to the “Big Bang Theory” universe, Dougie Baldwin (Connor McAllister) and Jessie Prez (Ruben), can be spotted as well.

In the Big Bang Theory universe, Iain Armitage, who portrays young Sheldon Cooper, is notably missing from this episode’s cast. Though it’s hopeful that he might show up later, it seems this gap could signal the start of tension between Georgie and Sheldon, a rift that persists throughout his adolescence and remains unresolved until his adulthood. He mentioned that he’d jump at the chance to return, and enjoys watching the show because it’s so well-done. However, since he’s not appearing in Annie Potts’ video, there’s speculation that his cameo might be saved for a later episode of “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage”.
