As a longtime Neopian who’s seen more Neobucks than I care to admit, the news of Neopets: Faerie Fragments pre-registration has me positively pouncing with excitement! After all, I was there when Faerie’s Hope first bloomed under the old management, and while it wilted prematurely, the promise of a remastered version is like a fresh batch of Jelly Neopets to my weary eyes.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve got some exciting news! The Neopets crew, World of Neopets Limited, has opened up pre-registration for Neopets: Faaerie Fragments – a reimagining of the 2022 release, Neopets Faerie’s Hope. Can’t wait to dive back into this enchanting world!

The game you played earlier seems to have been created while the Neopets brand was still under its original ownership, likely before the business was transferred to the present owners in July 2023. This claim is supported by the following statement from the World of Neopets team:

Neopets: Faeries Fragments is an updated version of the earlier game, Neopets: Faerie’s Hope. Due to technical difficulties during the NetDragon and Jumpstart periods, Faerie’s Hope was taken off the market. With our new team in charge and a firm conviction in the game’s core and its significance to the Neopian community, we decided to redesign the game, improving graphics and making minor changes to the storyline.

Similar to its predecessor, Neopets: Faerie Fragments will be a match-three game based in the fantastical world of Neopia, the universe of Neopets. Besides solving match-three puzzles, you’ll also delve into the lore of Neopets by encountering familiar characters and designing your own home as you work on rebuilding Faerieland.

Currently, Neopets is experiencing a resurgence, as it has been reacquired by both fans and the original development team. In an effort to update its aging features, they have been modernizing numerous old pages and resurrecting classic games. Though the browser-based experience may feel somewhat uneven while navigating between old and new interfaces within the world, given its almost 25-year age, it remains in surprisingly good shape.
