Marvel’s Vision’s Show Is Reportedly Bringing Back Two Surprising Characters, And In An Even More Surprising Way

As someone who has been following Marvel since the days of Agent Carter and Iron Man, I must say that the news about James D’Arcy returning as Edwin Jarvis and Kerry Condon as F.R.I.D.A.Y. in the upcoming Vision series has sent my excitement levels soaring! It’s like a Marvel reunion, and I can’t help but feel like I’m part of an exclusive club that gets to watch these stories unfold.

As “Agatha All Along” maintains its popularity among viewers, Disney+ is taking steps to guarantee the success of another upcoming Marvel TV series. It has been reported that the as-yet-unnamed Vision show will have Terry Matalas at the helm as showrunner, and James Spader is set to reprise his role as Ultron. Moreover, it appears that two actors from past Marvel productions might be joining, which I find quite intriguing.

If you enjoy seeing lesser-known actors take center stage, then here’s some good news! The spoiler account @MyTimeToShineHello hints that two well-known actors will be joining the cast of Vision, and I can’t help but wonder about the reasons behind this casting decision if it turns out to be accurate.

James D’Arcy Will Reportedly Return As Edwin Jarvis

Previously, we discussed our surprise at the possibility of James D’Arcy returning as Edwin Jarvis in Avengers: Endgame. Now it seems that this character famous from Agent Carter will resurface once more in the series Vision. Details are scant, but we know for certain that Jarvis is set to reappear. For those who remember, Jarvis was the human prototype for Tony Stark’s AI, J.A.R.V.I.S.

The character who served as the basis for the AI known as Vision in the original storyline has been introduced in the current series. It’s all quite confusing, especially given that Paul Bettany portrays Vision. This added layer of complexity certainly doesn’t help matters. However, it’s possible that Vision possesses memories from Jarvis due to his sentient nature being grounded in AI programming. While this theory seems plausible, I hope the showrunner, Terry Matalas, can simplify things for viewers and make it easier to follow.

Kerry Condon Will Reportedly Return As F.R.I.D.A.Y.

Kerry Condon initially voiced the AI character known as F.R.I.D.A.Y in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Vision was introduced. Nicknamed by Tony Stark and others, she became a familiar voice across multiple films. It’s now reported that Condon will play the human version of her character in the series Vision, but further details remain unclear, leaving room for speculation.

I am happy to hear Condon may return, especially since she thought her role died with Tony Stark. I do find it very interesting that the rumor referred to her as F.R.I.D.A.Y. and not the person the AI was based on. It leads me to wonder if Vision somehow set out on a mission to bring life to artificial intelligences around the world? Maybe I’m reaching a bit too far with this one, but what are the odds we’d have two tech-related characters rumored to appear in this? What’s next, we’re going to find out Todd Stashwick is also playing someone related to tech?

For now, “Vision” hasn’t arrived on Disney+ yet, and there’s no confirmation about the rumors circling around. So, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed for further announcements. And don’t forget to tune in to “Agatha All Along” every Wednesday!
