Lady Gaga is gearing up for the debut of “Joker: Folie á Deux” and her accompanying album, “Harlequin.” In an interview with Zane Lowe, she expresses that the concept of multiple personas has always been a part of her music creation. The character of Lee from “Joker” particularly resonated with her, influencing her deeply. With the film featuring so much music, Gaga found herself immersed in the character through the storyline, the daily performances, dancing, costumes, and makeup. This deep connection with the character didn’t fade, and she felt inspired to create an entire album centered around her. The Harlequin is a complex woman, and as a female artist and producer, Gaga found it enjoyable to assert that this album would be what she wanted, whenever she desired, encompassing various genres such as blues, funk, and soul.
