As a movie critic with over three decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the mashup of “Breaking Bad” and “Toy Story” is as unexpected as finding a Heisenberg action figure in your child’s toybox. It’s a bizarre creation that will leave you scratching your head and questioning the sanity of the internet. But hey, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s never to judge a movie by its cover – or a cartoon character by his chemistry set!
In the world of AI-generated videos, there are some truly disturbing sights to see, and a cross-over of and is one of them. With off-kilter iterations of Woody and Buzz in the guise of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, “Breaking Toys” is as crazy a creation as it sounds, and it is one of those “once-seen-cannot-be-unseen” moments. The Future of Breaking Bad and Toy Story
Although these properties may follow distinct paths, at least one of them is planning a fresh expansion down the road. Last year, it was announced that Toy Story 5 is under development and aims to hit theaters in 2026, with many original cast members such as Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprising their renowned roles. Despite some fans expressing skepticism about another Toy Story sequel due to concerns over potentially damaging the series’ impressive legacy, it seems that Disney is pushing ahead with new installments for its most successful intellectual properties like Toy Story, Zootopia, Frozen, and others.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve got to say, it feels like my journey through the gripping world of Breaking Bad has temporarily reached a pause. From 2008 to 2013, creator Vince Gilligan masterfully spun a near-flawless series that kept us on the edge of our seats.
In other words, although Gilligan has suggested he might revisit the Breaking Bad universe if his upcoming project doesn’t work out, for now, fans can only reminisce about the adventures of Walter White and his colleagues portrayed by Bryan Cranston. Fortunately, all seasons of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, along with El Camino, are available to stream on Netflix.
