Jenna Ortega Talked Facing Her Fears Making Scary Movies, But I’m More Inspired By Her Epic Chain Mail Outfit

As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours navigating virtual worlds and slaying digital demons, I must admit that watching Jenna Ortega slay the fashion world is nothing short of exhilarating. Her recent tour for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has been a masterclass in gothic glamour, and her chainmail dress on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon was a particularly mesmerizing moment that I simply cannot shake off.

It’s clear to see that Jenna Ortega not only shone in one of the most anticipated films of 2024, but also made a lasting impression on the fashion scene during the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice press tour. Known for her work with Tim Burton on Netflix’s Wednesday, she has been embracing a gothic style in her public appearances lately, and her chainmail outfit while discussing her bravery in creating horror films is particularly striking.

Recently, Jenna Ortega visited “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” During her appearance, she shared an intriguing story about her initial encounter with horror movies. However, what truly captivated me was not just her thoughtful insights, but her fabulous fashion sense. Here’s the video if you want to see it: [Video Link]

On a late-night talk show, Jenna Ortega gave a fresh take on the chainmail fashion craze, which both Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan have also sported recently. As reported by Women’s Wear Daily, Jenna wore a custom Dion Lee corset dress styled by Enrique Melendez. The striking aspect of this outfit is how the chainmail accentuates her figure as it flows down her chest like a skeleton, and the material creates stripes on the skirt part of the dress.

The dress was paired with black gloves, pumps and Jenna Ortega’s long flowing black hair. While wearing the outfit, though she had a great story about seeing Child’s Play way too young by accident and getting super creeped out by Chucky. It’s an ironic story for the actress, especially because as she shared, she worked with a lot of practical effects, and even dolls on the set of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. As she quipped, “You’ve got to face your own fears!”

Over the past few years, if you’ve been keeping track of Jenna Ortega’s acting journey, you’d recognize that she’s had her share of confronting fears on horror movie sets. She’s appeared in two recent installments of the “Scream” series, as well as Ti West’s “X,” before teaming up with Tim Burton. Interestingly, Ortega has shared that she’d longed to collaborate with Burton for years, having auditioned for his live-action remake of “Dumbo” and feeling disappointed when she didn’t land the role.

Although it’s truly impressive that the actress from Miller’s Girl has managed to star in numerous horror films despite her initial fear, what really stands out to me is her chainmail dress. Moreover, it’s not the only stylish outfit she’s worn; you should definitely check out TopMob’s review of her fashion evolution throughout the years.

Recently, Jenna Ortega has been quite enthusiastic about adopting character-specific dressing for the film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”. This ranges from emulating some of Lydia’s original costumes from the first movie or donning a three-piece yellow suit similar to Bob. She’s even been seen carrying around the Beetlejuice house as a purse! I am genuinely thrilled to see how she will make an impact in one of the upcoming horror films with another stylish fashion statement!

1) Don’t miss “Beetlejuice” currently playing in theaters! Also, stay tuned for future horror films as there might be a chance that Jenna Ortega takes on another project soon.
