Following the laughter-filled journey of Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, director Raaj Shaandilyaa is gearing up for the release of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on October 11, 2024. This humorous adventure features Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Interestingly, before casting the actress from Animal, several well-known stars such as Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Shraddha Kapoor, and Nushrratt Bharuccha were under consideration for the female lead role in this upcoming film.

Raaj Shaandilyaa sought an actress for the video “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala,” eventually choosing Triptii Dimri from “Qala.” According to Mid-Day’s report, he initially considered Nushrratt Bharuccha, Janhvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar. However, since Raajkummar Rao had previously collaborated with all three, they opted to give Triptii an opportunity instead. Upon viewing her past performances, the team recognized her talent. Remarkably, they also considered Shraddha Kapoor for the role, but she was already committed to “Stree 2” at that time.

The director announced that Triptii Dimri had been chosen as the main actress, but another role was specifically written with Mallika Sherawat in mind. When offered the part, Mallika was taken aback, but delighted because she felt the character was strong and fun. According to Shaandilyaa, Mallika expressed her appreciation for the script, stating that she had been eagerly waiting for such a character.

During a recent interview, both the writer and producer revealed that while completing his initial directorial project “Dream Girl” in 2019, the director began contemplating ideas for his next film. Since Rajkummar Rao was engrossed with other projects at that time, they decided to prioritize “Dream Girl 2”. Over the course of this period, they continually refined the script and eventually prepared to start production. Raaj also mentioned that they had already reached out to actor Srikanth for the male lead role in their upcoming film.

For those unfamiliar, the movie “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” is jointly penned and helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and produced by T-Series Films, Balaji Motion Pictures, Wakaoo Films, and Kathavachak Films. Approximately two weeks ago, the trailer of this comedic film was unveiled, offering a glimpse into the humorous experiences of a newlywed couple as their first night video mysteriously goes missing.
