Triptii Dimri reacts to criticism for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’s dance number Mere Mehboob: ‘I am trying to do different...'

As a devoted admirer of Triptii Dimri’s artistic journey, I find her recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India both inspiring and enlightening. It’s fascinating to witness an actress who is not only brimming with talent but also fearlessly venturing into uncharted territories.

Actress Triptii Dimri is gearing up for the debut of her next film, “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,” alongside Rajkummar Rao. Her latest dance number, “Mere Mehboob,” has been generating buzz, but has also drawn some negative feedback regarding certain moves. In response to this criticism, Dimri has openly stated that she is keen on trying out new and unconventional things in her work.

In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Triptii Dimri discussed her response to the audience’s criticism for her performance in the song Mere Mehboob. She expressed, “As an actress, I strive to explore diverse roles.” Triptii admitted that she came to understand the importance of learning other skills like walking and dancing on top of acting only when things became ‘genuine’. She confessed that this was something she hadn’t considered earlier, as she never envisioned herself becoming an actress.

Triptii went on to express that she needs to attempt everything. She put it as, “I may not excel at… Well, nobody can be proficient in everything, but isn’t it pointless to not try?” She further added that she had invested so much effort to reach this point, so giving up wasn’t an option for her.

The actress also mentioned that the dance scene was her debut performance of this kind, and she hadn’t anticipated the level of reaction it would generate while filming it.

In my experience as a lifestyle expert, I wholeheartedly agree with Triptii’s sentiment. We all have faced criticism at some point in our lives, but it shouldn’t deter us from exploring new passions and pursuing what we love. As the beloved star of Animal put it, one should follow their heart and do what truly resonates with them. Triptii wisely concluded that if we allow ourselves to be consumed by concerns about others’ opinions and perceptions, we risk losing authenticity in our actions. So, let’s embrace our unique paths and fearlessly express ourselves!

In this video titled “Mere Mehboob” from “Vicky Vidya,” the music is a collaborative effort between Sachin-Jigar. Shilpa Rao and Sachet Tandon are the singers for the track, and Priya Saraiya wrote the lyrics. The dance number starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
