Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson Set Rules for Risky Affair in ‘Babygirl’ Trailer

As a long-time fan of gripping, psychological dramas, I’m absolutely thrilled to see Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson team up for the tantalizing erotic thriller, “Babygirl.” Having followed both actors’ careers for years, it’s always fascinating to witness their transformations into complex characters that challenge our perceptions.

Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson delve into the intricate complexities of power and love through their intense romantic entanglement, as depicted in the teaser for the provocative drama titled “Babygirl.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that on Christmas Day, A24 will bring us nationwide theaters the feature film of writer-director Halina Reijn, titled “Babygirl.” However, unlike typical holiday films, this one leans towards the steamier side. Starring the charismatic Antonio Banderas and Sophie Wilde, it revolves around Romy (Kidman), a powerful CEO who unexpectedly finds herself in a romantic entanglement with Samuel (Dickinson), a young intern at her company.

Dickinson suggests to Kidman in the preview that if we proceed, we should establish guidelines that we both approve of. First among these rules is me giving instructions, and you carrying them out.

At a later stage in the recording, Kidman expresses concern to her latest partner, “You’re quite young. I don’t want to cause you pain.” Dickinson responds, “Pain? I believe I hold power over you because I could make just one phone call, and you could lose everything. Does that excite you when I say that?

Reijn directed and produced the film that serves as her next project after the 2022 horror-comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies.” The movie titled “Babygirl” has Reijn, David Hinojosa, and Julia Oh in the producer roles.

The film titled “Babygirl” made its debut at the Venice Film Festival in August. In his critique for The Hollywood Reporter, their chief film critic, David Rooney, described it as “seductive, ominous, and full of surprises,” with a mood that combines suspense and biting humor.

He added, “Kidman delivers an outstanding performance, moving seamlessly from indignation to terror to eager agreement.

Nicole Kidman’s latest projects include the movies “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “A Family Affair”, as well as the TV shows “The Perfect Couple” and “Expats”. On the other hand, Joel Edgerton is recognized for his roles in films such as “Triangle of Sadness”, “Where the Crawdads Sing”, and “The Iron Claw”, and he also appears in the series “A Murder at the End of the World”.
