As a longtime fan of Critical Role and D&D, I’ve eagerly awaited the return of Vox Machina for quite some time now. Having had the privilege to watch all twelve episodes of Season 3, I can confidently say that the wait was worth it – and the comments from the cast about fan reactions make perfect sense!
In simple terms, “The Legend of Vox Machina” is coming back for its third season in the upcoming 2024 TV lineup, continuing the story from where Season 2 ended with the cunning dragon Raishan infiltrating Whitestone and proposing to our heroic band. These trials take them not only to various continents, but also to distinct realms of existence. Moreover, the animation seems more impactful this season.
The group responsible for Critical Role, both the TV show and the Dungeons & Dragons game it’s based on, manage to deliver a wealth of content in merely twelve episodes. Amazon Prime Video opting to release these episodes in sets of three, rather than all at once, ensures that viewers will have frequent discussions each week. During the Amazon Prime Video press day for The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3, I asked the cast about episodes they were eagerly anticipating fan reactions to, and Ashley Johnson responded with a resounding “Yes!” Travis Willingham then added his own excitement:
