Full 2024 Bad Blood Predictions Including Roman Reigns, CM Punk And Rhea Ripley

As a long-time wrestling aficionado with a penchant for the unpredictable, let me weigh in on this intriguing lineup.

To start discussing this particular card, let me share a quick moment of excitement about the initial Badd Blood event from 1997. Looking back, it’s clear that this secondary PPV has significant importance in WWE history, not just because of its ’90s-inspired spelling, but also due to groundbreaking moments like the first Hell In A Cell match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. This iconic battle ended with an intervention from a newcomer, Kane, who quickly became a formidable force in WWE. Remarkably, Kane went on to defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWE Championship within a year after his debut.

This event isn’t just steeped in history; it’s often regarded as the final pay-per-view of the New Generation Era. Vince McMahon served as the lead commentator for this show, and it was followed by Survivor Series 1997, infamously known as the Montreal Screwjob, where the Mr. McMahon character first emerged. The roster included stars like Bret Hart, The Rock, British Bulldog, Vader, Owen Hart, Legion of Doom, and many more. Therefore, there’s a significant legacy to uphold, but without putting undue pressure, it’s reasonable to hope for an incredible spectacle, considering the lineup of matches. While it might not match the historical significance of the original Badd Blood, it certainly promises to be a thrilling event.

As a passionate gamer, I’m psyched about the upcoming wrestling event! Here’s what we’ve got:

As we delve into my forecast for upcoming events, allow me to first share some insights about how my previous predictions have fared. Here’s my take on it:

Nia Jax (Champion) Vs Bayley For The WWE Women’s Championship

During this past week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE production accidentally put up Bayley’s Damage CTRL graphic during her entrance. I’m not trying to run down the people in production as mistakes happen and they’re typically great, but I can’t think of a better way to symbolize how stuck in the mud Bayley is right now than that.

Despite her intense heat during her departure from Damage CTRL, her Royal Rumble victory, and the WrestleMania payoff, Bayley has struggled to find her bearings in recent months. Nothing she’s attempted seems to work, which is why she lost the title to Jax. She’ll get another chance, but she shouldn’t win anything until she clarifies her character. At times, she laughs excessively, reminiscent of a villain, and at others, she tries to evoke emotions like a hero, but since she lacks the popularity of an LA Knight-style anti-hero, it feels out of place. I say this as a big Bayley fan who believes she’s destined for the Hall of Fame.

Given everything that’s transpired, Bayley doesn’t appear to pose a significant challenge for victory in this event. Instead, the focus seems to be on whether Tiffany Stratton will capitalize on her opportunity. There have been several hints about this possibility, and their recent confrontation on SmackDown provided the most obvious instance of tension between them. If and when it becomes Tiffany’s time to shine, the crowd is likely to erupt with excitement. While I won’t go as far as making a direct prediction, I believe there’s a strong chance that it could happen sooner rather than later. It’s certainly not an impossible scenario.

Predicted Winner: Nia Jax

Damian Priest Vs Finn Bálor

I’m torn about this situation. On one side, Finn Bálor urgently needs a victory. He’s only managed two wins in his last twelve pay-per-view events, and those were both tag team matches with Damian Priest. If WWE wants the revamped Judgment Day group to be seen as a credible faction, he needs to start winning significant matches. A sporadic win on Raw, often boosted by external interference, isn’t enough. Moreover, if WWE intends to prolong this rivalry between New Judgment Day and the original Judgment Day, Finn really needs to emerge victorious in this encounter. Dominik and Liv lost to Damian and Rhea at the previous PPV. If they both lose again here, it seems pointless to keep the feud going. Why continue if there’s no tension or uncertainty?

Contrarily, Damian Priest is garnering the most favorable audience responses of his professional career, and it’s evident that Triple H holds him in high regard. Although he lost his title to Gunther at SummerSlam, this was only following significant PPV victories against heavyweights like Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso. Gunther was destined to claim that belt, and it speaks volumes about Damian Priest that WWE postponed the transition for as long as they did. He could weather a defeat at Finn Bálor’s hands, especially if it’s presented as a protected loss. However, should WWE decide to have Rhea triumph over Liv, they might choose to conclude the Old Judgement Day vs New Judgement Day rivalry, which would necessitate a win for Damian. The outcome could swing either way, but there seems to be more narrative yet to unfold.

Predicted Winner: Finn Bálor

Rhea Ripley Vs Liv Morgan (Champion) For The Women’s World Championship

Over the past few months, Liv Morgan has delivered exceptional performances that surpass anything she’s done before in her career. She’s taken Dominik Mysterio’s heat and elevated it to new heights. It’s hard to picture anyone else on the roster executing this role as well as she is. However, the question remains: For how long can we continue to withhold Rhea Ripley from the spotlight? She’s arguably the most popular female wrestler the business has ever seen. As a fan, I believe that in many cases, the most beloved figure should be the one holding the title.

In contrast to Cody Rhodes facing an unremarkable adversary on a lower-tier pay-per-view, this scenario is rich with narrative depth. We can’t underestimate Liv Morgan here. As I mentioned in the Damian Priest/Finn Bálor analysis, it seems the Old Judgment Day vs New Judgment Day saga may not reach its conclusion yet. I foresee a one-on-one battle between Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley in the future. The audience’s enthusiasm for both Rhea and Liv suggests that their rivalry won’t be resolved with a single match. I’m leaning towards Rhea, but I must admit, it’s a close call. There’s a possibility that this pay-per-view will be remembered as the event where the New Judgment Day triumphs through underhanded tactics.

Predicted Winner: Rhea Ripley

Cody Rhodes And Roman Reigns Vs Jacob Fatu And Solo Sikoa

It seems like Roman Reigns won’t lose his comeback match given he was absent for months, but it’s tough to predict in wrestling, especially when the storyline is clearly extending. Here are some possibilities:

What direction do you believe WWE intends for their storylines to take? From my perspective, I see a potential scenario where The Rock and Cody Rhodes might face off in the main event of WrestleMania 41, although there’s some uncertainty about this. Similarly, I envision Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu in another WrestleMania 41 main event. To ensure that these matchups unfold optimally, what seems crucial for WWE is to strategize on how to re-introduce The Rock effectively, and solidify the new Bloodline, with Jacob Fatu being a significant threat. This could involve securing high-profile victories, which might begin with upcoming events.

Predicted Winner: Solo Sikoa And Jacob Fatu

CM Punk Vs Drew McIntyre

This feud between these two WWE legends will undoubtedly be etched in history as one of the most significant and unforgettable non-title rivalries. Both men have delivered exceptional performances, but it’s time for this chapter to close so they can explore new opportunities. It seems CM Punk might embark on a program with Seth Rollins (post-Bronson Reed) and Drew McIntyre may concentrate on The Royal Rumble, aiming for a title shot against Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship, which could make an excellent WrestleMania storyline. Therefore, the conclusion should be definitive but must not tarnish either competitor’s reputation.

From my perspective, it seems fitting for Drew McIntyre to emerge victorious from this conflict. Given that he’s six years younger, and at the peak of his career, I believe it would be advantageous to have him come out on top. CM Punk’s character might handle a loss better, but I’d like to see McIntyre given the win to boost his profile. This move could potentially benefit business in the long run, however, CM Punk is undeniably more popular among fans and is the good guy in this feud. Consequently, the outcome of this match could swing either way.

Predicted Winner: Drew McIntyre
