As a gamer who spent countless hours immersed in the virtual worlds of Disney games, this Coperni Spring 2025 collection transported me straight back to my childhood memories. The nostalgic nods to classic Disney characters and the whimsical atmosphere of Disneyland Paris were like a magical elixir that brought back the carefree spirit I once had as a child, exploring digital realms filled with enchantment and wonder.


On the final night of Paris Fashion Week, Coperni transported the French capital’s showgoers to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland Paris, for a magical conclusion to Fashion Month. Upon promptly entering the Magic Kingdom at 9:30 p.m., guests strolled down a lit-up Main Street to the park’s quaint Town Square, where Mickey Mouse and Friends waved down to giddy voguettes, who shared words of excitement over champagne flutes. At once, the iPhone-clad fashion brigade was guided toward Sleeping Beauty Castle, the bright pink fortress from which Coperni’s Spring 2025 collection would soon strut. Needless to say, the crowd’s inner children were exceptionally excited.

Designers Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant shared that Disney played a significant role in their upbringing. For numerous French children, especially those from rural areas, their initial urban experience was a visit to Disneyland Paris. The enchanting stories and characters of Disney, such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Cinderella, and Maleficent, served as our navigators through the intricate terrain of human emotions – friendship, love, fear, bravery, and change.

Changing glass slippers into Swarovski crystal handbags and Mickey Mouse hats for elaborate royal attire, the latest assortment showcased themes of “youth, nostalgia, and creativity” in a three-part presentation: “Park People,” “The Wicked Characters,” and “The Royal Metamorphosis.

Initially, the opening scene portrayed an air of youthful freedom as children dashed around a park wearing classic Disney tees and ornate Victorian blouses adorned with delicate organza butterflies – reminiscent of old-timey costumes worn at Disneyland. A few “awws” echoed from the audience up front, confirming its cuteness.

In the second act, made dramatic by flares of fire from the castle, became noticeably more menacing. Artists Meyer and Vaillant skillfully designed hoodies with horned details, wicked dresses, and monstrous leather coats on a dark, powerful backdrop – all featuring sharp lines reminiscent of Angelina Jolie’s portrayal of Maleficent. The end result was subtly captivating, mirroring the characters they represented.

In the last act of this captivating collection, it was the Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella characters who truly stole the spotlight. Blazers were transformed into canvases for vibrant floral motifs; dresses became fit for queens with voluminous pastel sleeves that billowed majestically; and bodysuits, too, seemed fit for royalty with satin frills trailing elegantly from their legs. As the grand finale approached, Kylie Jenner graced the stage in a stunning black gown featuring a fitted bodice and a flowing skirt. With a flourish of fireworks erupting from Sleeping Beauty Castle, it was clear that the show had reached its climax.

After the last rotating display at Paris Fashion Week, the high society reveled through the park until the wee hours of the morning – engaging in friendly competition using Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast, seeking excitement on Hyperspace Mountain, and enjoying Mickey Mouse-shaped French fries. What a magical conclusion indeed!
