Ah, Spotify’s Offline Backup feature! As a frequent flyer who’s forgotten my earphones at home more times than I care to remember, this little gem has become my savior in the skies. The ability to have all my recently streamed and queued tunes automatically downloaded for offline use is nothing short of magical.
In case you find yourself boarding a plane without your desired tunes downloaded, worry not! Spotify offers a solution to this problem – a feature known as Offline Backup. By activating this setting, it will independently create and download a playlist for offline listening.
As a gamer, when I’m offline, I can still enjoy my tunes thanks to an automatic backup feature. It grabs all the songs I’ve queued up or recently streamed and neatly organizes them into a playlist. The app cleverly selects tracks that are already saved on my device, even if I haven’t downloaded them yet – making sure I never miss out on my favorite beats, even when I’m offline!
After being generated, users can organize their Offline Playlist based on mood or genre. This playlist automatically updates with the user’s latest streamed songs, mirroring their shifting musical preferences over time.
Last year, we launched the Beta version of our Offline Backup feature, and it’s now accessible worldwide for all Spotify Premium users.
