In November 2025, right before Thanksgiving, the movie titled “The Running Man” will hit theaters. This upcoming action-packed film stars Glen Powell from Twisters, and it will be directed by Edgar Wright, known for Baby Driver. Interestingly, this movie is a modern adaptation of the 1987 dystopian sci-fi thriller that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. The original story was penned by Stephen King under the pseudonym Richard Bachman and was set in a future where criminals were hunted for sport on live television. Since his last film, Last Night in Soho, released in 2021, this will be Wright’s first feature film.
In the upcoming remake of “The Naked Gun,” Liam Neeson takes on the role of Frank Drebin Jr., son of the original franchise’s main character played by Leslie Nielsen. Initially slated for release on July 18, 2025, the comedy has been pushed back to August 1, 2025. Akiva Schaffer from The Loney Island band will direct this production, with Seth MacFarlane serving as producer.
