As a die-hard fan of Sunny Singh, I can’t help but marvel at his extraordinary journey in Bollywood. From being mistaken for Akshay Kumar‘s son by an innocent little girl to bravely completing his scenes despite a bleeding leg, Sunny has truly embodied the spirit of resilience and dedication.
In various films, Sunny Singh has made appearances, but what truly stands out for many is his roles as Chauka from Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Titu Sharma from Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. On the occasion of his birthday, let’s reminisce about an old video where he was called “Akshay Kumar’s son” by a young fan. While this comparison surprised him, Sunny graciously replied to the enthusiast in a sweet manner. Here’s the clip!
As a die-hard fanboy, I can’t help but reminisce about Sunny Singh’s journey in Bollywood. Back in 2010, he made his big screen debut alongside Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia in Paathshaala. Since then, he’s been a part of numerous hit movies like Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Adipurush, and more. Today happens to be his birthday, and as I celebrate another year of Sunny Singh in my life, I couldn’t help but share this heartwarming video of him interacting with a tiny admirer. It’s moments like these that make me appreciate the star even more!
The clip showcases Sunny sitting inside his vehicle when a little girl comes to him and says, “Aap Akshay Kumar ke bete ho na? (You’re Akshay Kumar’s son, right?)” The Ujda Chaman actor confirmed by asking the girl, “Mai Akshay Kumar sir ka beta hun? You think I am Akshay Kumar sir’s son?)” To this, the teenager replied “Yes”. On hearing her sweet reply, the birthday boy told her “Thank you, Beta” and inquired if she watches movies. “Aap boht pyaare ho. (You are very sweet)” he told the girl and bid her goodbye.
Take a look:
Sunny is a talented and committed artist who feels strongly that the performance should always carry on, no matter the circumstances. It’s likely this mindset that led him to press on with filming for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety despite being in pain and bleeding. During an interview with Filmygyan, Singh reminisced about his determination and perseverance, as he completed his role even while struggling with a leg injury that caused bleeding.
The actor shared with the press, “During filming, I sustained an injury on my leg which required bandaging. Despite having blood coming from the wound, I had to make my entrance on stage. Remarkably, nobody seemed to notice. I persevered, maintaining my character, and in that instant, the pain didn’t register.
TopMob wishes Sunny Singh a very happy birthday!
