As a fellow film enthusiast who’s been through my fair share of emotional rollercoasters, let me tell you, this post struck a chord with me. It’s rare to find a show that feels so deeply personal and resonates on such a profound level. Kaos was one of those shows for many, including myself.
“Well… this one hurts. I find explaining how I’m feeling to be really difficult, but I’ll try.
From the moment I began trying out for this series, I sensed its uniqueness, primarily because Charlie Covell’s scripts spoke deeply to me in a manner few others had. Familiar faces populated this production, and I couldn’t help but adore each one – their imperfections included. For perhaps the first time in my life, I have felt an overwhelming sense of pride. Of course, I am proud of everyone’s dedication and the effort they poured into this project; they truly gave it their all. But more than that, I found myself proud of myself, which is something I’ve struggled to achieve.
Upon being chosen for the role, it took me aback that someone noticed me. A woman who is more than just a minority; she’s also a conqueror over adversity – and you’re informing me that I could be among the main characters of this series, with my own purpose, autonomy, and desired by not one but two extraordinary individuals as a love interest? Was I worthy of that? Everything that transpired since then truly shifted my viewpoint.
Reacting to the post, one fan asked, “Are you saying Kaos got canceled???” to which Perrineau replied, “Sadly, yes.”
