As a longtime fan who has witnessed Drake’s career blossom from a mixtape phenom to a global superstar, I can confidently say that his latest move is nothing short of extraordinary. Collaborating with the rising Mexican artist Chino Pacas on “Modo Capone” marks a significant step for both artists, and I am beyond excited to see what they’ve cooked up together.
Over the summer, Drake has been consistently putting out new music, even amidst his feud with Kendrick Lamar. However, it appears that “The Boy” remains unfazed, contradicting initial assumptions that this situation might have affected him negatively.
Later this month, a fresh collaboration track between Drake and Mexican artist Chino Pacas is scheduled for release. Chino has revealed the tracklist of his upcoming debut album, “Que Sigan Llegando Las Pacas” which includes a song titled “Modo Capone” featuring Drake. The song with Drake will be released on Chino’s birthday, October 18th, making it Drake’s first Spanish-language collaboration since his 2018 team-up with Bad Bunny on the track “MIA.” Notably, Bad Bunny reciprocated by featuring on “Gently” from Drake’s most recent album. However, Drake’s part in that song was sung in English.
2024 saw a strong bond of mutual support between Chino and Drake becoming evident. When it was reported that Drake purchased a ranch in Texas, he made an appearance at a Houston rodeo, striding out to the tunes of Chino Pacas. Furthermore, whispers suggest that Drake and OVO member Chubbs are planning to establish a new label, PFL. It’s been hinted that Chinos could be their first signed artist, although this is yet unconfirmed. Keep an eye out on October 18 for the big reveal!
