This October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I never imagined I’d find myself sharing this news, but here it is. Back in December, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple-Positive Breast Cancer. Following my surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, I am now fortunate to be cancer-free.

During an episode where Kevin is awaiting test results, Michael said to Pam: “Perhaps the next time you’re taking a shower, you should examine yourself more thoroughly. You know, perform self-checks? Those things are like time bombs ticking.
Fischer states that she’s prepared to discard the wigs hiding her bald head, and she encourages everyone to undergo their annual mammogram screenings. Despite not being able to heed Michael’s advice to self-examine, her tumor was too minute to be detected during a routine physical exam. She deeply appreciates Angela Kinsey, her co-star from The Office (Angela in the show), for her encouragement, and her husband Lee Kirk for standing by her throughout this journey.

Kinsey, who co-hosts the podcast Office Ladies with Fischer, expressed: “I adore you and I’m thrilled that you’re sharing. I’ve always got your back.” Ellie Kemper, known for her role as Erin Hannon in the series, stated: “We adore you, Jenna. Thank you for sharing and for inspiring us.” Mindy Kaling, better known as Kelly Kapoor in The Office, simply added a heart emoji as her comment.
Simultaneously, American actress Olivia Munn, who disclosed her battle with breast cancer earlier this year, also chimed in on Fischer’s post with a personal remark of her own.
