As a die-hard enthusiast of both automotive and sneaker culture, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming “Cars & Kicks” event by Hypedrive! Having grown up surrounded by the vibrant energy of these two subcultures, I’ve always dreamt of an occasion that would bring them together in one glorious celebration.
Under the banner of TopMob’s auto division, Hypedrive, is preparing for their upcoming real-life gathering titled “Cars and Sneakers.
Under the cover of night, an event titled ‘Cars & Kicks’ unites Jeff Staple, renowned streetwear designer and founder of STAPLE, with The Motoring Club, a leading automotive social club based in Los Angeles. This gathering aims to honor and explore the vibrant subcultures that thrive within both the automotive and sneaker worlds. By delving into the tales behind the collectors and their prized possessions, it encourages newcomers to immerse themselves in these realms, fostering a sense of camaraderie and curiosity.
At this upcoming gathering, a unique blend of sought-after sneakers and vehicles from dedicated collectors will be showcased, offering an insight into their passionate hobbies. Attendees are welcome to exhibit their own cars and sneakers too, while enjoying food, drinks, live music, gifts, merchandise, prizes, and other exciting activities. A panel discussion featuring guest speakers Sean Wotherspoon, RJ DeVera from The Fast & The Furious, and others will take place, covering the evening’s topics and entertaining questions. Yokohama will also be present, unveiling their new apparel line “ADVAN Essentials” for purchase, along with merchandise vendors like Leen Customs, Tarmac Works, The Motoring Club, and more.
In addition to their admission tickets, attendees will receive an event kit, filled with a variety of carefully selected items worth more than $200 USD.

Moreover, there are 50 special VIP tickets up for grabs, offering not only the event package but also a premium parking spot for your vehicle at the venue, as well as exclusive access to the fireside chat. Purchasing a VIP ticket will grant you all three Leen Customs pin designs, a Tarmac Cards trading card pack, and priority choice in T-shirt design and size. We’ll strive to accommodate T-shirt sizes and design preferences for every ticket holder.
At the event, everyone in attendance stands a chance to be picked for the evening’s main prize – a $15,000 USD Inozetek full-car vinyl wrap! The winner will be chosen based on who wears the “Sneaker of the Night,” as decided by our hosts. Additionally, Yokohama will present two sets of prizes: the individual with the most creative video post on social media using the hashtags #ADVANessentials and #onyokohamas will receive a collection of their new ADVAN Essentials clothing, and one mystery guest will be given a set of free high-performance Yokohama ADVAN tires.
The gathering takes place from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, featuring a fireside chat at 6:30 PM. Food and merchants will also be accessible to attendees who don’t have tickets, on the grounds of The Motoring Club. Since there’s limited room, parking spots in designated lots and streets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to non-VIP ticket holders.
