In recent weeks, Chandler has been a hot topic due to his selection for the iconic DC superhero role of Hal Jordan in the highly anticipated HBO and DC Studios series titled “Lanterns”. This series, which just cast Aaron Pierre as superhero John Stewart, is set to start filming in the UK at the beginning of 2025. Interestingly, Chandler will shoot a different project called “RIP” before “Lanterns”, as production for this Netflix feature kicks off later this month in Miami and Los Angeles.
Chandler gained recognition primarily due to his Emmy-winning portrayal of Coach Eric Taylor in the highly acclaimed TV series “Friday Night Lights,” which aired on NBC from 2006 to 2011. Later, he reappeared in television with the Netflix thriller “Bloodline,” earning him two Emmy nominations. More recently, he has appeared in various films such as “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” and “Godzilla vs. Kong,” as well as Damien Chazelle’s film about Neil Armstrong, titled “First Man.
The actor has recently starred in independent film “Anniversary” alongside Diane Lane, Zoey Deutch, and Phoebe Dynevor, under the direction of Polish director Jan Komasa. He also recently filmed Netflix feature “Back in Action” with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
