As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for sports and an unyielding love for Monday Night Football (MNF), I can’t help but feel elated by the recent announcement from ABC. With more MNF games added to their schedule, it seems like the network is catering directly to my passion for both gaming and football.
ABC is ready for some (more) football.
As a die-hard gamer who also enjoys NFL action, I’m excited to share that more Monday Night Football matches are being added to the schedule for the rest of the season! ABC and ESPN will be airing six extra games, starting with the showdown between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets on October 14th. Alongside these six new additions, there are four previously scheduled contests as well – three of which will be simulcasted and one exclusive to the broadcast network during a double-header night on December 16th. Can’t wait for the action!
The upcoming ABC/ESPN joint broadcasts will be screened on October 21 (Baltimore Ravens versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers), November 4 (Tampa Bay Buccaneers against Kansas City Chiefs), November 18 (Houston Texans facing Dallas Cowboys), November 25 (Ravens taking on Los Angeles Chargers) and December 23 (New Orleans Saints battling Green Bay Packers). Previously, ABC had scheduled Monday Night Football games for October 28 and December 9, as well as two Saturday games on January 4, which marks the final weekend of the league’s regular season.
After some talks with ABC, my beloved ESPN (the ones behind Monday Night Football), and the NFL, we’ve managed to bring more simulcasts into the mix for a better gaming experience.
Due to the enhanced lineup for “Monday Night Football,” ABC is making some adjustments to its weekly schedule. When there wasn’t an MNF game, ABC was planning to air shows like “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” “Press Your Luck,” and “What Would You Do?” on Monday nights. The two game shows are now being rescheduled for midseason, where they will have uninterrupted runs. Starting October 16, “What Would You Do?” will air at 10 p.m. every Wednesday, which will displace the docuseries “Scamanda” to a premiere in 2025.
