As a seasoned Disneyland enthusiast with countless memories etched into the pavement of Main Street, U.S.A., hearing that Paint the Night is making its grand comeback has left me absolutely giddy! It’s like finding a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory or stumbling upon an unused FastPass for Space Mountain.
As a devoted Disneyland fan, I’ve been absolutely feasting on captivating live entertainment lately! The introduction of Magic Happens daytime parade, the mesmerizing fireworks show, Wonderous Journeys, and World of Color – One have all been truly magical additions to my park experiences over the past few years. But there’s one parade I’ve missed dearly – the electrifying Paint the Night parade. Now, it seems like my favorite nighttime spectacle might be making its long-awaited return!
The Disneyland Instagram account just dropped a brief tease that, while it is short on details, all but confirms the return of the popular nighttime light parade. It gives us a look at Mack, the big rig from Cars that’s one of the original parade floats, and also includes a bit of Owl City’s song “When Can We Do This Again?” the song from Wreck-It Ralph which was the parade’s main theme. I can hardly find the words to express my current joy. The Paint the Night parade is nothing short of breathtakingly beautiful. In many ways, it serves as a revamped version of the timeless Main Street Electrical Parade, but with every aspect given a fresh, modern twist.
As a gamer, when the sun sets over Disneyland, nothing quite compares to the dazzling nighttime parade that illuminates the park. The tunes that play are pure magic, and some of my most joyful recollections were made during those enchanting evenings. I’m eagerly preparing for more unforgettable moments under the twinkling lights of this magical kingdom soon.
The subsequent remark on the post is simply “Keep an eye out for more updates,” which doesn’t specify an exact timeline for when Paint the Night might resume. Given that it won’t be happening before the end of this year’s Christmas season, we can speculate that the earliest possible start for the parade would be late January 2025.
2025, being the 70th anniversary of Disneyland, it’s quite possible that the comeback of Paint the Night will be seen as part of the festivities for this special occasion.
