As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen the gaming landscape evolve from the humble days of 8-bit graphics to the immersive, high-definition worlds we enjoy today. The news of Xbox Cloud Gaming expanding its horizons has me all pumped up!
According to reports from The Verge, it seems that Xbox users may soon have the ability to stream games not included in the Xbox Game Pass library.
It’s said that the project is being called “Project Lapland” and it involves making improvements to the servers used for Xbox Cloud Gaming. This could mean that Microsoft needs to ensure their servers are capable of handling various types of games, including those with different graphic requirements and speeds.
Approximately seven months back, this feature was initially mentioned. As The Verge reports, Microsoft is planning to start testing the servers with Xbox Insiders in the upcoming month. Following this test phase, they aim to release it publicly.
It appears that Microsoft (Xbox) intends to enable users to play and buy games via the Xbox app on their Android smartphones, in line with a recent decision barring Google from mandating Google Play Billing for its app marketplace purchases.
