As a long-time resident of Mumbai and a follower of local politics, I am deeply saddened by the tragic demise of Baba Siddique. The shockwaves of his untimely death during the festive occasion of Dussehra have left everyone in disbelief.
On Saturday evening during the celebration of Dussehra, Baba Siddique, a well-known political leader, was fatally shot by three gunmen. Today, his body was returned to his residence following an autopsy. Before his final ceremonies, Salman Khan and his family, accompanied by Iulia Vantur, were spotted at Siddique’s home.
On October 13th, Salman Khan’s brother Sohail, his sister Arpita, Alvira Agnihotri, Arbaaz Khan’s wife Sshura, and Iulia Vantur were spotted visiting the home of Baba Siddique. A video captured by paparazzi showed them entering the late actor’s residence to express their condolences.

Furthermore, Veer and Shikhar Pahariya, along with Sushil Kumar Shinde (his grandfather) and actor Sooraj Pancholi, were among the group who visited Siddique’s residence.
As per a report from News 18, it appears that the individuals responsible had meticulously planned their actions and monitored Siddique’s location for approximately two months prior. A police source has added that they are investigating the possibility of this being a contracted assassination, as it seems a mysterious figure behind the scenes may have hired gunmen to carry out the attack without any advance warning.
Furthermore, according to police reports, the three suspects were given 50,000 rupees each, and it was alleged that they had obtained their firearms through a prepaid delivery service a few days prior to the incident where shots were fired.
It’s been reported that a member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s notorious gang is believed to have orchestrated the tragic event. A widely shared Facebook post suggests that the politician was assassinated due to his associations with Salman Khan, criminal figures Dawood Ibrahim and Anuj Thapan.
In a recent post, a gang member expressed that his actions were justified as an act of loyalty towards friendship. According to India Today’s report, the content read: “Salman Khan, we did not seek this conflict, but your actions led to our brother’s demise. At one point, Baba Siddique was under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) alongside Dawood. The reason for his death was his involvement with Dawood and Anuj Thapan in Bollywood, politics, and real estate transactions.
According to a recent update from Zeeshan Siddique, the funeral ceremony of the deceased politician is scheduled for this evening, specifically on October 13, 2024, at 7 p.m., taking place in Mumbai.
