Hulu Picks Up NFL-Set Drama Series From Dan Fogelman

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in the digital worlds of sports dramas and family sagas, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation at the news of Dan Fogelman‘s latest project. With his proven knack for weaving heartfelt narratives and his uncanny ability to breathe life into complex characters, this untitled Hulu series promises to be yet another captivating journey.

Dan Fogelman is expanding his Hulu collection with a new show that’s based in the thrilling environment of professional American football.

Hulu has officially green-lit a new series for production, this one being developed by 20th Television and Skydance Sports. While specifics are scarce at the moment, we do know that it will delve into a multi-generational family narrative, with a backdrop of the NFL.

It’s important to mention that Skydance Sports is a collaboration between David Ellison’s Skydance and the National Football League (NFL). Known for its cautious approach with branding, the league expressed last year to The Hollywood Reporter its intent to produce more scripted content through the Skydance joint venture.

Fogelman, along with Jess Rosenthal, takes on the dual roles of writer and executive producer. Meanwhile, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed are also executive producers for Skydance Sports.

Fogelman, known for developing the popular NBC family drama “This Is Us,” boasts a diverse portfolio that includes movies such as “Cars,” “Tangled,” and “Crazy Stupid Love.” He is also experienced in sports dramas, having created the 2016 Fox baseball series titled “Pitch.

Apart from that, he’s also responsible for developing another forthcoming Hulu show titled “Paradise“, featuring Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden in lead roles. Additionally, he functions as an Executive Producer on the popular Hulu series “Only Murders In The Building“.
