It appears that the release of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film, Love & War, has been postponed due to the heavy rains in Mumbai.
Based on a report from Bollywood Hungama, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love & War has been delayed by two months due to heavy rains in Mumbai. A source familiar with the situation disclosed this information to the portal, stating that the rainy weather has affected the shooting of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal’s movie.
Love & War is expected to premiere sometime between late November and early December of this year, according to recent updates. The delay in its release stems from a setback with the construction process – the source mentioned that heavy rains during the first half of this month caused damage to the set.
Additionally, it was mentioned that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been given plenty of time to fine-tune both the script and music for Love & War. It’s also been noted that he will conduct additional workshops with the principal cast members, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal.

According to our source, SLB chose to fund Love And War independently, similar to studios like YRF and Red Chillies. Before filming even began, he secured a significant post-cinema agreement with Netflix, and almost a record music contract with Saregama.
For those new to this, Love & War is the second joint project of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in their movie careers. Notably, Alia had previously worked with Bhansali on Gangubai Kathiawadi in 2022. Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor started his Bollywood journey with Bhansali’s 2007 film, Saawariya.
For the very first time, Vicky Kaushal is collaborating with a renowned director. The movie “Love & War” is set to hit theaters on March 20, 2026.
