Wallace And Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl's New Trailer Has A Laugh That Almost Made Me Spill My Coffee, And As A Fan I Appreciate That

As a lifelong admirer of Aardman Animations and their masterpiece, Wallace & Gromit, I can confidently say that the anticipation for their next adventure, Vengeance Most Fowl, has me more excited than a cheese addict in a Wensleydale factory! The trailer alone left me laughing so hard that my morning coffee nearly ended up on the keyboard. Feathers McGraw, with his comically evil demeanor and Rubber Gloves of Evil, is shaping up to be an unforgettable villain, especially when he gives that knowing nod before taking a sip – it’s pure gold!

Approximately twenty years have passed since Wallace and Gromit last embarked on a full-length movie adventure, but their comeback is imminent! The latest trailer for Netflix’s major motion picture “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” confirms that they will be among the movies scheduled for release in 2025. Get ready to welcome back our beloved small-town duo!

Without a doubt, as an ardent admirer of Aardman Animations’ iconic creation for years, a chuckle from the trailer was nearly enough to spill my morning beverage. So I tip my hat to the cunning Feathers McGraw. As you can see above, the brief clip offers a peek at the potential arch-enemy in “Vengeance Most Fowl,” who appears quite comically malevolent.

At an unexpected moment, it was exactly when I needed to pause my morning coffee, for here’s why: Feathers happens to be performing Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor,” a talent that seems fitting for any formidable antagonist.

Instead of his signature rubber glove disguise or “World’s Best Boss” coffee mug, it’s the blend of those elements, coupled with the knowing nod from the bird-like villain in “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” that provides the telltale sign.

It’s surprising that there are no videos showing the Norbot, Vengeance Most Fowl’s contraption, in action. I must admit, I remain skeptical about this mechanical threat given its size, and it seems quite lightweight for a robot. However, what we do receive is an impressive assortment of scenes that underscore the impact of big-budget action on the Wallace & Gromit universe.

The train slide alone has me thinking of Gromit in a position similar to that of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt towards the end of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning. Not to mention my love of the James Bond movies has me wondering about Feather’s organ inclusive lair, and that periscope that we saw shown off in an earlier part of the trailer. Is this beaked bad boy taking some cues from The Spy Who Loved Me and heading to the high seas?

On January 3, 2025, Wallace & Gromit: The Fowl Revenge will make its way, either by soaring or sailing, into the digital lineup. Whether you’re eager to join this fresh adventure or rediscover the magic of The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, you can do so with a Netflix subscription, a fantastic means of access! Don’t forget that Wensleydale cheese, Jacob’s Cream Crackers, and the World’s Best Boss mug are available for separate purchase.

More to come…
